Knowledgeable and Patient Polish tutor!
Joanna has been tutoring me in Polish for over 7 months so far. She is a very patient and thorough tutor, and creates lessons that are easy to navigate. Joanna's lessons first started off with the Polish alphabet & basics so I could become comfortable and less intimidated with the language. I am at a level now where I feel confident that I can understand & converse in Polish when I go to Poland in July.

Excellent Lessons
What an amazing amount of knowledge & skill Joanna gave to me during each lesson. I had to speak Polish for an audition without ever having spoken it or even hearing it properly. Joanna went immediately for the details and we built upon them. She did whatever it took to get me up to speed. When I wanted to give up because my brain got tired, she kept going & got me to a level I couldn’t believe! Then she complimented me when the work was mostly hers! What’s most incredible is that the knowledge stuck AND I got a second audition. I will be using her services again!

I was surprised to find that on our first lesson, she had prepared a worksheet with a breakdown of tough sounds, plus highlighted those key spots in our text. Easy-going and comfortable!
As a student who was determined to learn Polish in the perspective of a native Spanish speaker like me, I sifted through many sources for months on end to find any books or media that would allow me to progress through with this perspective. After much struggle, I found Joanna, an excellent teacher who has been flawlessly teaching me Polish from Spanish. Not only did I find a unique source like Joanna, but she is incredible at making you feel comfortable while at the same time making much progress with the time spent. I was very nervous at first to take an online interactive course, but of course my heart desired so dearly to continue, and Joanna rapidly changed my nerves. She made me feel comfortable with speaking up in Polish, because I had many hard moments speaking up when I was trying to learn German and I still do to this day. in fact, my rate of learning German for the past three years has never been as fast as my rate of learning in Polish for the past month with Joanna. I am very surprised she managed to break my shyness-shell quickly by having a patient attitude and being very accepting that it's okay to make many mistakes during the process. Even if I speak a mix between Spanish and Polish (Spolish??), she fills in the gaps and within the gaps, new conversations and exercises are created in order to combat those mistakes. I love that she creates personal exercises for me that fit my personal goals as to why I want to pursue learning this language, she even writes them from Spanish to Polish and explains the surprising amount of similarities the two languages have. She breaks down each exercise into small bits so that the lesson does not feel overwhelming, which means I would doubt that any of you reading this would feel inclined to stop learning, unless if you're lazy! Joanna puts in 110% of your time, and what does 110% really mean? It means she already places all of her efforts towards you during class, plus that extra time outside of the class in order to place care into your learning experience. Seriously, that feels absolutely heart-warming. All you have to do as a student is place your efforts to ensure the best optimal learning experience. Personally, I cannot wait for the progress I will make for the next month and am very much looking forward to applying my skills when I start living in Poland with my polską dziewczyną starting in the summer and begin to have deep conversations with the family. Thank you Joanna for making the past four weeks life-changing!!
