About Carmela

Unequivocally, uniquely upbeat, with a pertinent patience and acquiescing adaptability my dedication to expanding learning capability is not limited to but can be measured by improved performances in a number of areas. With determination and drive, time will tell that my love of learning and encouraging the same to others can only help others rise to their own ambitions and potentials.

I have volunteered to tutor at my high school for four years under the recommendation of faculty and teachers, and am able to travel or tutor online. While not certified, I have a plenty of passion, young perspective, and the belief that challenging a capacity to learn will aide in the long run. My experience runs with middle school to high school students within the sects in math and English, but I have helped my own elementary-aged cousins with their basic language and math skills. My approach is to review the material you struggle with to see what the root cause is before using examples to eventually register the proper identification of how best to answer. When having difficulty, I patiently rewind and do an example for them. I love tutoring knowing that learning is not without benefit, and so at the end of every lesson, I will correspond a brief review that reinforces material, ingraining the innate demonstration of recollection. The focus is to instill that progress is to be made, not static nor regression in ability.
I am available 6 PM to 10:30PM on Mondays and Fridays, all day Tuesday and 7-9 PM on Thursdays. Weekends and other flexible time periods such as breaks or vacations are open to negotiation or extra hours!

Beyond that, I love meeting new people and giving them something they can reflect on. I look forward to being a helpful guide in your education!

I'm quite friendly, apt to conversation and with an empathy that extends beyond a letter grade needed. I understand that there also always extenuating circumstances to each individual, so I will never treat you the same as others. I will always have the flexibility to understand your needs and whatever I may help to assist you with. Life is hard enough already, so might as well have helping hands where we may! Best of luck!
