I have been a certified special education teacher for 14 years. I teach math and reading/language arts to 7th and 8th grade students. I absolutely love teaching. My goal has always been to improve the lives of young people through learning. There is something amazing that happens when a kid gets that "lightbulb" moment. I want to help kids have more of those moments. During my career as an educator, I have also been a coordinator for a college preparation program. Through that program, we were able to take average students, provide them with support and opportunities to meet with success in advanced classes in order to make them college ready. Some of the students, which consisted primarily of middle school students, had never considered college as an option prior to that program.
I am dedicated to helping students become more organized and to approach learning with a winning attitude. In short, I have a wealth of experience to offer and tons of patience.
