I love to tutor. I started tutoring in my school programs starting in 5th grade. I tutored English mostly and I worked with ESL students. Tutoring helped me to both re-enforce what I learned and to help others. I love seeing students' faces when they improve. It is such a rewarding experience for me to know that I am making a difference in someone's life. I want to be the tutor I wish I had.

Tutoring helped me to both re-enforce what I learned and to help others. I love seeing students' faces when they improve. It is such a rewarding experience for me to know that I am making a difference in someone's life. I want to be the tutor I wish I had.

Tutoring ESL and Mandarin, Chinese are especially important to me. I have been learning Mandarin since I was 10 years old. Speaking Mandarin gives me so much joy. I have tutored Chinese ESL students both in America and China. In my opinion as people, we are both teachers and students, we can all learn from each other.

I have been learning Mandarin, Chinese for 17 years now and studied at East China Normal University in Shanghai, China for a year with an all Chinese curriculum. While studying at ECNU, I was an ESL tutor to both students and teachers. I love speaking Chinese and I love tutoring. Putting the two together is a dream come true.

I have been learning Mandarin, Chinese for 12 years and studied abroad in Shanghai, China at East China Normal University for a year. While I studied at ECNU I was an ESL and Chinese tutor. Additionally, I spent 6 months interning in Shanghai with Pivot Marketing Services. I just finished interning in Shanghai for IIS (International Insurance Solutions as a translator and marketing assistant.

I have tutored ESL students for a number of years. I tutor both in the US and and in China with students of all ages. We work on reading, writing (essays), speaking, and listening skills.

IELTS

I have been tutoring students both in the US and in China for the IELTS and TOFL exams for 3 years. Because I speak Mandarin, Chinese I am very helpful and effective when teaching. We work on essay writing, speaking, and interview skills. I have had students accepted to schools like the Shanghai International School and a number of study abroad programs in English speaking countries including the US and UK.

Patient and knowledgeable tutor

Leia is a patient and knowledgeable tutor. she teaches me American culture and help me to speak with conviction in English. The talking atmosphere is very relax and enjoyable. I highly recommend her.

She is Excellent. Leia takes her time to make sure your child fully understands what he or she has to do. I would highly recommend her for anyone. She is prompt, reliable and diligent in her area of expertise. My daughter loves her and she really appreciates having her as her tutor.
