About Frank

My PhD is in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University. I've been teaching for 3 years at the college level. I also did substitute teaching at most grade levels, as well as tutoring in age groups ranging from small children to older adults. I enjoy working with and mentoring students and getting to know them better.

I have a passion for teaching and instill this love for learning in my students.

I have been playing piano since childhood and enjoy composing and listening to music, as well as reading about great musicians.

I really like working with people of all ages to better themselves, from all walks of life, and I feel that students value greatly from more one-on-one interaction with tutors.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 2

My dad was a high school math teacher. I also had a number of math and statistical courses in undergrad and grad school.

Criminal Justice

I taught criminal justice at Holy Family University this last semester. I have a PhD in Political Science and 3 years of college teaching experience, including Villanova, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia University, West Chester, and some other schools. I also taught National Security workshops in DC for a few summers. I have several publications in academic journals in criminal justice. I also worked as a graduate assistant at Georgia State University in the criminal justice department for 3.5 years. I've done private tutoring off and on for years and substitute teaching at the high school level. Hope all this helps.

IELTS

I helped a student recently with the IELTS get into a graduate program at Carnegie Mellon last year. I have gone over the questions and how to answer them periodically and have done private tutoring for a number of years. I also worked for several companies doing tutoring with this test and others and how to prepare students for the test.

Political Science

I have been teaching at Villanova, West Chester, and several other Philadelphia-area colleges for 3 years. I have also done leadership conferences in Washington, DC, relating to government and politics. I helped with 2 different political campaigns in the past. I also am published in academic journals periodically. My PhD is in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University.
