Fantastic Tutor!
Catherine is a fantastic tutor! I am an intermediate/advanced speaker with high school and college French training dating from more than 40 years ago. I sought a native speaker who could help me brush up for an upcoming trip to Provence and was lucky to find Catherine for two sessions per week over about four weeks. Catherine is highly qualified with both the technical aspects of teaching and the personal qualities that make the sessions not only interesting but also fun. She evaluated the areas where I needed the most help, took the initiative to introduce me to valuable online sites to supplement my sessions with her, varied the content and exercises of our sessions and was receptive to my ideas. A typical session started with conversation between the two of us about various topics, progressed to my reading out loud an article to practice my pronunciation and vocabulary (including discussion about that article) and listening to recordings to test my audio comprehension. I feel substantial improvement in my skills as a result of having engaged Catherine and would highly recommend her without reservation to anyone interested in learning or improving their French language abilities.

Catherine's methods were just what I had for. She's a wonderful teacher and she makes the lessons interesting and personal. We spent most of the time in conversation, but she would pause to point out my bad habits and grammar issues.

Great tutor
Catherine has lots of teaching skills and she knows how to adapt to what the student wants. I am primarily interested in building my conversation skills, so she is working with me on that. But also I am getting refreshed on grammar and learning new vocabulary. I can imagine that her sessions with other students would be very different depending on their interests.
