Thank you to all my students, for continually allowing me to enhance your mathematics experience, and for rating me 5 out of 5 stars every time!

I've had many math professors throughout undergrad and graduate school and I've found that, although they all know what they're talking about and are all very intelligent, what makes a math teacher great is understanding that not everyone understands things the same way he/she does. Throughout my years tutoring all levels of mathematics, I have developed the ability to readily explore several different viewpoints and methods to help students fully grasp the subject matter. I can present the material in many different ways until we find an approach that works and he/she really starts to understand. Nothing gives me a greater thrill than the look of relief on a student's face when he/she actually starts to get it and realizes that it isn't as difficult as was previously believed.

I have a Master of Science degree in mathematics (analytic number theory), over ten years' experience as a math tutor and over three years' experience as an actuary, and am a member of MENSA. I am highly committed to students' performances and to improve their comprehension of all areas of mathematics.

Great Math Tutor

We found Daniel's first tutoring session with our son to be excellent. The two of them quickly became comfortable with each other and launched into multiple math topics. In one session, Daniel worked with our son on algebraic equations, introduced logarithms, briefly touched on the idea that there are different types of infinity, and engaged in a great discussion about modular math (our son's current passion). Daniel's incredibly strong math background allows him to effortlessly pivot from one math topic to another in order to identify areas of strength or weakness, as well as areas of strong interest. Daniel is structuring an entire math program for our son, factoring in his interests, in addition to his needs, in order to provide a customized program, designed to maintain and hopefully increase our son's passion for math, while attempting to maximize his potential. Our son is clearly very excited to have Daniel working with him, and he is eagerly looking forward to learning many new math concepts from Daniel. After Daniel's second tutoring session, our son was so excited about the math they worked on together that he said he would like to become a mathematician.

Outstanding Support!

Daniel has been an outstanding support for our son in his General Math and AP Stats class during his junior and senior years of high school. After trying several math tutors, Daniel proved to be the perfect blend of mathematical expertise and an exceptional ability to engage our son and maintain his interest. Thanks to Daniel, our son just graduated high school and is well-prepared for his college mathematical experience. We highly recommend Daniel for his excellent tutoring skills and support. Thank you, Daniel!

Very knowledgeable

Dan tutored me in Calculus II. He is very knowledgeable of the topics we went over and dictated the pacing of the session based on my understanding of the material. I would recommend.

Great Tutor

Statistics is an absolute nightmare for me and had caused 2 anxiety attacks before I contacted Daniel. Daniel brought me from wondering if I was going to pass a graduate level advanced statistics class to wondering how well I was going to do. I cannot say enough about how much Daniel helped me. If I ever need another statistics tutor, he will be the first person I think of.

Effective tutor

Dan was a great tutor. My son began to struggle in Alegbra II. Dan was able to explain concepts clearly. My son earned a 97% on his final.

Excellent tutor for my easily-distracted son

Daniel helped my son Jack get back on track with calculus. Jack is very bright, somewhat ADHD, and has an unfortunate tendency to confuse grasping the concept in the moment with achieving real mastery. Daniel has really helped to ground Jack much more firmly, and I wish we had started working with him earlier.

Off to a Great Start

We are very grateful to have found Dan. He is helping my son better understand the algebra concepts taught in school, and it is reflected in his daily quiz grades.

Great Progress

My son has been working with Dan for a few weeks now, and his confidence is improving, which in turn is reflected in his test grades. I'm definitely glad that we found Dan through WyzAnt.

Great tutor, very professional

Daniel was able to come over on very short notice and did an excellent job working with my 17 year old her precal work. I highly recommend him for a serious student who needs some clarification of material.

Excellent Lesson!

My son felt really good going into his midterm exam thanks to Dan. Dan was able to find the areas where my son was weak, and really help him understand the material.
