Hi everyone, my name is Oscah! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Physiology. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, microbiology, cellular biology, and related health sciences. I have developed a particular interest in helping students understand not only individual biological concepts, but also how different systems interact and how foundational principles connect to clinical applications.
For the past year, I have served as a teaching assistant at the Perelman School of Medicine, supporting students in medical and biological science coursework. In this role, I have worked with students on anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and other foundational subjects. I have supported students through structured academic sessions as well as individualized instruction, helping them review challenging concepts, work through practice problems, prepare for examinations, and develop effective study strategies.
My teaching approach is structured, patient, and adaptable to each student's learning style. I begin by assessing a student's understanding of the material and identifying the concepts that require additional attention. From there, I use clear explanations, diagrams, examples, guided practice, and targeted questions to build understanding step by step. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I emphasize the “why” behind the answer, so students develop a framework they can apply to unfamiliar questions and related topics.
For examination preparation, I combine content review with question analysis, application-based practice, and time-management strategies. My goal is not simply to help students get through one assignment or examination, but to help them develop a strong scientific foundation, greater confidence, and the ability to approach challenging biological and health-science questions independently.
