My name is JT and I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Florida and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in Bioengineering. These degrees have exposed me to complex topics in both math and science, and I am excited about the possibility of helping others understand themselves-no matter the level.
I have multiple years of tutoring experience from working at the Keys Learning Center during my time in High School. I have worked with students from Kindergarten to High School during that time, working one on one with students as well as in group learning settings to help them better understand complex mathematical and scientific problems. I want to make sure not only that students can come to the correct answer, but understand how and why they came to that answer. I do this by breaking questions down so that you understand better why each step is taken-instead of just memorizing the steps to get to an answer. Specifically, I have experience tutoring elementary math and science as well as high school math up to the level of precalculus.
I am available at any time to answer questions from students or parents about my background and specialties. Looking forward to helping you learn!
