I am a certified English Language Arts teacher with more than six years of classroom and online teaching experience in the U.S. and internationally. I hold a B.S. in English with honors from SUNY Oneonta, with a minor in Professional Writing. I am certified to teach English in Pennsylvania (7–12), Florida (6–12), and Arizona (6–12), and I hold UK Qualified Teacher Status and TESOL certification. I have also completed professional development through the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Culturally Responsive Literature Instruction and College-Going Identity and Student Success.

From 2019–2025, I taught at an international school in Saudi Arabia, where I taught English Language Arts, writing, literature, grammar, and vocabulary to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. I regularly adapted instruction for English Language Learners and helped students strengthen reading comprehension, writing, and critical-thinking skills.

I also taught English online through VIPKid for two years, providing individualized one-on-one instruction in a virtual setting. In Philadelphia, I worked as a Reading Coach supporting literacy development for K–3 students.

My approach is supportive, individualized, and student-centered. In writing, I help students develop ideas, organize their thoughts, revise effectively, and understand why changes improve their work rather than simply correcting it for them. In reading and literature, I use discussion, questioning, close reading, and textual evidence to strengthen comprehension and analysis.

I am qualified to tutor ELA, writing and essay development, reading comprehension, literature, grammar, vocabulary, and English language learners.
