I am a certified Social Studies educator with a bachelor's degree in education and a Pennsylvania certification to teach secondary Social Studies. My coursework and student teaching provided me with a strong foundation in U.S. History, World History, Civics, Government, Economics, and Geography, while also preparing me to support students with historical analysis, research, and academic writing. Throughout my education, I developed lesson plans, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and used a variety of instructional strategies to help students build confidence and deepen their understanding of historical concepts.
My teaching experience includes completing my student teaching in a high school/middle school classroom, where I worked with students in grades 7 through 12. In that setting, I planned and delivered lessons, facilitated class discussions, assessed student learning, and provided individualized support to students who needed additional help. I believe the most effective learning happens when students are encouraged to think critically rather than simply memorize facts, so I tailor my approach to each student's learning style by using questions, real-world connections, and guided practice to help them develop both content knowledge and analytical skills.
Whether I am helping a student prepare for an exam, improve an essay, or better understand a challenging historical topic, my goal is to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I strive to build confidence alongside academic success, helping students become independent learners while achieving their educational goals.
