I am a graduate biomedical science student with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and succeed in science courses. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University at Buffalo (2019–2023), where I developed a strong academic foundation in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and scientific writing. I have several years of tutoring and academic coaching experience, and I enjoy helping students break down difficult concepts into simpler, more understandable steps.
My tutoring experience began in high school and continued throughout college in both one-on-one and classroom-based settings. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a Resident Tutor, where I provided tutoring support in General Chemistry I & II, English writing, and personal statement review for fellow students living in campus housing. I was also involved in the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), where I served as a peer tutor and academic coach. In this role, I helped students with chemistry, math, writing, study strategies, time management, and academic organization. I have experience working with students primarily ages 16 and older, including high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
My teaching style focuses on tailoring lessons to each student’s individual learning style and helping them build true understanding rather than relying on memorization alone. I first try to understand how a student learns best—whether through visual explanations, discussion, practice problems, analogies, or step-by-step breakdowns—and adapt my approach accordingly. I enjoy simplifying difficult concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces that feel less overwhelming and easier to retain. I believe that with the right explanation and support, any student can learn challenging material with confidence. I regularly assist peers with chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry coursework, and I will also be serving as a Teaching Assistant for graduate-level biochemistry course
