I am a certified bilingual Spanish teacher with 24 years of classroom experience in the Pennsauken Township Public Schools in New Jersey, where I currently teach 4th and 5th grade Spanish. I hold a New Jersey Standard Teaching Certificate in World Languages and Video Production and am a native speaker of both Spanish and English, which allows me to teach with full linguistic range; from foundational vocabulary and pronunciation to grammar, cultural fluency, and academic reading and writing in Spanish.
Over the course of my career I have developed and delivered hundreds of original lesson plans aligned to the New Jersey World Languages Standards and ACTFL guidelines, with consistent attention to differentiated instruction for diverse learners. I work daily with students who are English Language Learners, heritage speakers, and complete beginners, and I understand how to calibrate pacing, vocabulary, and scaffolding for each profile. My instructional approach integrates social-emotional learning, which means students build confidence alongside competency.
In addition to my classroom work, I am the founder of Creative Synergy Media LLC, a Philadelphia-based media company focused on education and community storytelling. This work has deepened my skill as a communicator and curriculum designer, and has given me experience creating content for a wide range of audiences.
As a tutor, I specialize in Spanish for elementary through high school students, bilingual literacy support, Spanish for heritage speakers who want to strengthen their formal writing and grammar, and conversational Spanish for adult learners. I am available for online sessions and bring the same rigor and warmth to one-on-one tutoring that I bring to my classroom every day.
