Hello, my name is Ana. I graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with two Bachelor's of Science degrees in Biology and in Biotechnology. I am currently a Cell and Molecular Biology PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Cancer Biology and Genetics. I love to teach and mentor students interested in science, which will always be a priority for me, as I work towards becoming a professor.
I have occupied several tutoring, teaching, and mentorship roles over the last several years, both online and in person. Most notably, I began volunteer tutoring in high school and continued through college, where I primarily tutored high school students in biology and Spanish.
Additionally, I was hired by the StAAR Center at Tufts University, where I tutored undergraduates in Biology and Chemistry. I was also a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a Molecular Biology class, where I helped plan coursework for over 100 undergraduate students, lead weekly recitation sections, and held office hours. Furthermore, I have mentored several scientifically-inclined students as a Biology Ambassador for the Department of Biology at Tufts, in addition to teaching lab skills to the undergraduates I mentored in my research lab and in another biology laboratory course that I was a TA for.
Please reach out if you have any questions or are interested in scheduling tutoring sessions.
