I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Temple University and an Associate of Science in Mathematics from Community College of Philadelphia, where I maintained a 3.73 GPA — so the foundation of what I tutor is also the foundation of my own academic journey. Before transitioning fully into software development, I spent a year teaching piano and voice lessons to elementary and middle school students at the Meridee Winters School of Music. That experience gave me something no degree could: the ability to identify exactly where a student is getting stuck and find a new angle in. The best way to help a beginner isn't always to explain something more thoroughly — sometimes it's to break it down into something smaller, meet them where they are, and build from there.
That mindset is exactly how I approach math and computer science tutoring. Whether we're working through algebra, statistics, calculus, or learning to code in Python, JavaScript, or Java, my focus is always on building genuine understanding rather than drilling shortcuts. In my experience, most students struggle not because the material is too hard, but because one earlier concept never fully clicked and everything after it feels unstable as a result. My job is to find that gap and fill it so the rest starts to make sense naturally.
Beyond my teaching background, I've worked as a software developer across multiple industries and built CodeGrind, an educational coding platform with AI-assisted tutoring features. That real-world experience lets me connect what we cover in a session to how it actually shows up in practice — which students at every level find grounding and motivating. I'm comfortable working with learners from middle school through college, in whatever learning style works best for them.
