I'm a doctoral student in Geography at Temple University with a Master's in Public Health from Drexel. I've taught GIS and spatial statistics at the university level and have published peer-reviewed research on air pollution, food insecurity, and neighborhood health. My sweet spot is patiently walking students through the technical problems so they can keep learning. My areas of expertise include GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS, web mapping), biostatistics, epidemiology, and data analysis in R. If you're stuck on a spatial analysis project, struggling with regression models, or prepping for an epi exam, I can help you get un-stuck efficiently.

I've been a teaching assistant and instructor of record for courses like Fundamentals of GIS, Spatial Statistics, Digital Mapping, and Intro to Community Health. I’ve spent a lot of my PhD tutoring students one-on-one. My approach is to meet you where you are whether that’s totally frustrated with the class or excited but feeling stuck, I can help break down the coursework so you aren’t left wanting to throw your laptop out the window. Sessions are collaborative, low-pressure, and tailored to your assignment or learning goal.

I tutor both online and in-person in Philly. I have a lot of experience working through screen sharing and in-person and love doing both! I’m just working on writing my dissertation proposal this summer, so I have a ton of flexible time to spend helping with your learning goals. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!

Approved Subjects

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

I completed multiple graduate-level biostatistics courses as part of my Master of Public Health at Drexel University. In my professional work as a public health researcher, I regularly apply biostatistical methods to analyze health data, including t-tests, ANOVA, regression, and chi-square tests. I have tutored undergraduate students in statistics and can explain confidence intervals, p-values, and hypothesis testing in plain language. I am proficient in R, SPSS, and Excel for biostatistical calculations.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I have graduate training in biostatistics and use statistical analysis daily in my public health research. I clean and analyze datasets using R, Excel, and SPSS, performing descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square tests, correlation, and linear regression. I have tutored undergraduate students in statistics and helped them interpret output, choose appropriate tests, and visualize their data. I can help you understand data summaries, run hypothesis tests correctly, and present your findings clearly.
Data Science

Data Science

I have graduate-level training in biostatistics and use data analysis daily in my doctoral research. I clean, manage, and analyze large health datasets using R, Excel, and SPSS, including summary statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square, correlation, and regression. I have tutored undergraduate students in statistics and taught courses that involve data analysis and visualization. I can help you understand how to explore data, choose the right statistical test, and present your results clearly.
Epidemiology

Epidemiology

I minored in epidemiology as an undergraduate and completed multiple graduate-level epidemiology courses during my Master of Public Health at Drexel University. My professional research includes analyzing neighborhood-level health data using epidemiologic methods in R, including a systematic literature review on neighborhood disinvestment measures. My current doctoral dissertation applies epidemiologic analysis to study the relationship between neighborhood disinvestment and gun violence in Philadelphia. I can help you understand study designs, measures of association, and how to interpret epidemiologic findings from real-world research.
Geography

Geography

I have completed all coursework and exams for my PhD in geography. Geography has been a core function of my professional roles for over 6 years where I have mapped neighborhood health.. I have taught and tutored for university level courses in Geography.
GIS

GIS

I hold a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Temple University and have completed all coursework for a PhD in Geography. For the past three years, I have taught GIS courses at the university level, including Fundamentals of GIS and Digital Mapping, and have tutored students one-on-one in spatial analysis. My professional work as a cartographer and research consultant has involved creating maps for public health studies, analyzing redlining data, and visualizing neighborhood change. I can help you master ArcGIS, QGIS, and spatial thinking for projects or exams.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

I have an Excel Essentials Certificate from Indiana University Indianapolis. Excel has been a part of every professional role I have had in the field of public health/health geography. I also have taught a class that teaches undergraduate students Excel for geographic applications.
R

R

R is the main platform I use to conduct statistical analyses as a Health Geographer. I have taken multiple graduate courses in using R for statistics. I also have tutored for undergraduate statistics classes that use R for the past 3 years.
Statistics

Statistics

Statistics has been a core function of my entire professional career as a health geographer. I have taken multiple graduate-level statistics courses. I also have tutored for an undergraduate statistics class for the past 3 years.
