Hello! I am a medical student. I earned my bachelor’s degree with honors from UNC-Chapel Hill in Biology and Latin American Studies, and my master’s degree from Drexel. My interdisciplinary background has strengthened both my analytical thinking and my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across subjects.
I have several years of experience privately tutoring students in writing, including personal statements, college application essays, and coursework for English classes. I also served for two years as a program director for a nonprofit focused on helping underrepresented students gain access to higher education. Through this work, I helped students gain admission to top public and private universities such as UNC, GW, and Cornell. I specialize in helping students develop strong, cohesive narratives and improving clarity, structure, and confidence in their writing.
In addition to writing, I leverage my undergraduate and graduate scientific training to support students in biology and related subjects. I understand how challenging both science and language arts courses can be, and I focus on breaking down complex material into clear, manageable concepts. My goal is to help students not only succeed in their current coursework, but also build study strategies and critical thinking skills they can apply long-term.
I aim to create a supportive, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material. I believe a knowledgeable and patient tutor can make a meaningful difference in a student’s confidence and performance, and I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
