Hello! I'm a trained educator and bilingual English/French speaker who's passionate about learning and teaching languages. I've lived and traveled around the world and taught students of all ages both privately and in the classroom. My teaching philosophy focuses on building confidence and real-world communication skills in a supportive environment, and I draw from my own background learning languages (eight so far!) to design lessons around my students' unique goals and learning styles. My aim is to create an engaging and enriching experience that opens doors to new people, cultures, and opportunities.

A bit about my background - I have an undergraduate degree in History & French from Wesleyan University and a master's degree from Columbia University in Human Rights. I am also certified in TEFL/TESOL through the The TELF Org and have teaching experience in the US and abroad. I've most recently worked outside of the education - primarily at NGOs and other international organizations - but I'm excited to return to the field.

Looking forward to connecting!

ESL/ESOL

I am a dedicated language tutor with a TEFL/TESOL certification from The TEFL Org. I also have experience teaching a variety of subjects, including English as a foreign language, in the US and abroad. Moreover, I have a bachelor's degree in History & French from Wesleyan University, a master's degree in Human Rights from Columbia University, and professional experience outside of education - allowing me to tailor my lessons to both the academic and non-academic goals of my students.
French

French

I've spent over 25 years learning and speaking French. My background includes a BA in History & French from Wesleyan University and academic and professional experience in France and Belgium. I've also spent several years working in French from within the US at a variety of international organizations.
Thesis Writing

Thesis Writing

I have a master's degree in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in History & French Studies from Wesleyan University. I completed theses at both institutions - receiving high marks at each - and have extensive experience in the following: historical and mixed methods research, outlining, writing, and editing. I enjoy the thesis process from start to finish, and I'm eager to help others with their own original projects.
