I recently graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Computer Science, where I gained extensive experience in web development through coursework and personal projects. I’ve built a variety of applications, including a drag-and-drop resume builder interface, a financial advisor chatbot, and a study tools website featuring a pomodoro timer, task planner, and note-taking system. Most of my projects use React or Next.js with TailwindCSS, though I also have experience with plain HTML, having built simple apps like my first portfolio and a tic-tac-toe game. In addition to web development, I’ve worked with Python, creating APIs to power my applications as well as fun projects like a Playlist Builder AI and a webcam-based Rock, Paper, Scissors game.
My tutoring experience includes teaching a middle school student astronomy and astrophysics in a virtual one-on-one setting. I prepared materials, designed practice problems, and presented concepts in a fun and engaging style while guiding the student through exercises. By the end of our sessions, the student earned a bronze medal at an astronomy olympiad. I’ve also taught web development in a student organization workshop, where I introduced attendees to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. During the workshop, I guided 15 students in building a simple restaurant landing page, providing hands-on support and answering questions as they worked.
My tutoring approach is project-based and hands-on. I believe students learn best by actively building and experimenting, so I emphasize exercises, problem-solving, and practical applications. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, whether they are learning for school, personal growth, or future career development. I aim to help students gain confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and mostly enjoy the process of building something.
