Hi! My name is Mahnoor, and I am currently a junior Biology major at Temple University. My teaching experience began in high school, where I taught Arabic to elementary school students. When I started college, I discovered a genuine passion not only for learning science but also for teaching it. That interest led me to volunteer at Temple’s Chemistry Help Desk in sophomore year when a friend was looking for tutors, and I ended up loving the experience so much that I continued tutoring there for a full semester. Since then, I’ve expanded my tutoring experience by working at Temple’s Resnick Center, where I tutor biology, ecology, biochemistry, and occasionally chemistry. Additionally, this past semester I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry 1, leading both group and one-on-one help sessions to support students with challenging material. Through these roles, I’ve worked with students at varying levels and have seen many of them improve their confidence and performance in their courses. I understand that science courses can feel intimidating, and I felt the same way when I first took them. My goal is to make complex topics feel approachable and even exciting. I rely heavily on visuals, memory tricks, and breaking concepts down step by step to build real understanding rather than short-term memorization. I take time to learn each student’s learning style and tailor my approach to best support their needs. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment and welcome any resources or study strategies students already use. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson. I would love to help you succeed!
