Bio

I am an undergraduate at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Phillips Academy Andover, where I earned a 4.1 GPA and scored a 1570 on the SAT. I am an undergraduate at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Phillips Academy Andover, where I earned a 4.1 GPA and scored a 1570 on the SAT. At Andover I took a full load of advanced courses in math, economics, and the humanities, and now at Penn I am continuing to build on that foundation in a rigorous business and quantitative environment. Because I have gone through competitive U.S. high school and college admissions myself, I understand both the academic content and the expectations students are trying to meet.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with middle school, high school, and early college students in one-on-one and small-group settings, helping them with math, economics, standardized test preparation, and general study skills. A lot of this began informally: classmates would ask me to walk them through problem sets, explain exam concepts the night before a test, or share how I approached the SAT. I also have experience supporting younger students through student-led educational projects, where I taught STEM topics in a clear, step-by-step way and learned how to adjust my explanations for different ages and backgrounds.

My tutoring approach is structured but relaxed. I start by figuring out what a student actually understands, then break difficult ideas into smaller, manageable pieces and connect them back to real problems they care about, whether that is an SAT score goal, an AP exam, or a challenging class. I focus on teaching students how to think through problems, not just memorize steps, and I like to share the exact strategies I used myself for exams, time management, and note-taking. My goal is for students to leave each session more confident, more independent, and with a clear plan for what to do next.
