Hi, my name is Sneha, and I am a fourth-year college student majoring in Finance and Business. As a student myself, I understand the importance of having a teacher who truly understands each student as an individual and guides them toward success. This belief is what inspires me as a tutor.
I have over five years of tutoring experience with students across a wide range of ages and academic levels. My tutoring journey began with online instruction for elementary school students, where I assisted them with daily schoolwork and also introduced advanced topics to help them stay ahead. Working one-on-one allowed me to develop strong skills in understanding students’ individual learning needs and adapting lessons accordingly. I also incorporated engaging strategies, such as math brain teasers and interactive activities, to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
I later worked at Kumon with students from kindergarten through fifth grade. This role challenged me to teach within a structured curriculum and in a fully in-person environment. Through this experience, I strengthened my classroom management, engagement, and adaptability skills. I learned how to maintain students’ focus by building personal connections and actively involving them in lessons.
In addition, I have experience as an online SAT tutor, working with older students on test-based material. In this role, I focused on strengthening students’ foundational knowledge and helping them understand how those concepts apply to actual test questions.
My teaching style is highly student-centered. I encourage students to take an active role in directing our sessions, and I take the time to understand their goals, strengths, and areas for improvement to maximize the value of our time together. I am approachable, patient, and a quick responder, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment.
