Hi! My name is Emmanuel and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UPenn. In the coming fall, I will be attending the Keck School of Medicine at USC to earn my MD. Some of my favorite classes were math and organic chemistry as I fell in love with my professors and their teaching styles. I learned so much more because my professors instilled a level of passion that I did not know I had. By becoming a tutor, I hope to instill the same level of excitement in my students.

My experience in tutoring begins with being a teaching assistant for an organic chemistry lab where I guided a group of 11 students through experiments, providing strategies and scientific information. A memorable moment was helping a student who was struggling with his lab report. I spent extra time with him, explaining the science while teaching him how to think through other experiments. At the end of the course, he thanked me and expressed his newfound love for chemistry. This deepened my passion for teaching and
highlighted the importance of personalized support in fostering academic growth.
I have also engaged with students as a private tutor as I helped high school seniors with their AP chemistry class. I spent my time studying with students in weekly 2-hour sessions where I gave them tips on getting ahead with the material, passing exams, etc. This strengthened my skills in working with students 1-on-1 and in creating personalized preparations in order to give them the best possible avenue to succeed.
My goal as a tutor is to give students the opportunity to grow and foster a love for math and science in their schools, whether they are in high school or in college. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you want to get to know me as a person!
