Cumulatively, I have 4-5 years of tutoring experience in a wide variety of subjects. I like to guide students' thinking using the Socratic method, and help them determine the answer, instead of giving it to them directly. I like using analogies and diagrams to help break down difficult concepts. I also have training in academic coaching and evidence-based learning strategies. While I like to think of myself as a good student, that hasn't always been the case, and I treat struggling students with empathy and kindness.
