Hello! I am a second year medical student with bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish and both formal and informal tutoring/teaching experience. I have previously taught ages six through thirty in both whole-class and one-on-one contexts, either in-person or remotely. I have a collaborative, student-guided approach that is adaptable to each student's needs and learning style. I'm invested in creating a lesson plan that works for you and your unique goals!

In high school I was a Mathnasium tutor for ages K-12, where I gained valuable experience in pedagogical adaptation and teaching students of extremely variable ages and backgrounds. I tutored chemistry and biochemistry throughout college, and co-facilitated a remote Medical Spanish class for two years. My personal approach involves rigor coupled with fun and flexibility- you are the driver of your own success but I'm here to help guide you along the way.

I specialize in essay writing/editing, especially medical school application writing, and Spanish-language teaching. I respond promptly and have broad availability. Please feel free to reach out with additional questions or to schedule a lesson!

I am a second year medical student so anatomy and physiology are what I do every day! My medical anatomy coursework, which I completed with honors, included cadaveric dissection as well as didactic study and clinical correlation. Additionally, I spent three years working as a teaching assistant in the cadaveric anatomy lab of another institution, where I assisted with dissections, helped students identify structures, and facilitated class presentations. Let me know how I can support your learning!

I am a second year medical student with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and have participated in peer-tutoring throughout my studies. As part of my undergraduate coursework I completed four years of rigorous biology, chemistry, and biochemistry studies, and my research focused on the protein analysis of bacterial infections of mammals. I have experience with genetics, protein biochemistry, glucose metabolism + oxidative phosphorylation, small molecule transport, and more. As a medical student I have continued my studies of biochemistry and would be thrilled to hear how I can support your learning!

MCAT

MCAT

I know how daunting the MCAT can be- I did it too! I am a second year medical student who took the MCAT in 2023. I self-studied for my MCAT and developed an extensive toolkit of strategies and resources that I have since adapted for many learning styles as I've mentored other medical school applicants. My technical background and bachelor's degree are in biochemistry, which helps me to approach and explain technical topics with a broad and detailed understanding. Additionally, I specialize in mentoring/tutoring for the CARS section of the exam, which can be one of the most challenging on test day. Please reach out with questions about how I can help you prep for your test!

Personal Statements

I am a second year medical student with prior training in peer mentorship and tutoring for application writing. Throughout college I volunteered as an application essay editor for first generation/low-income college applicants, and as a medical student I continue to mentor incoming applicants. My goal is to help applicants cultivate an essay that is authentic to their voice and experience while also demonstrating the skills and values which will help their application stand out. I specialize in primary and secondary application essays for medical school but have flexible skills and would be happy to help you!

I also spent several years teaching a virtual basic and medical Spanish course to Doctor of Physical Therapy students and, most recently, served as an educational material developer for a local Spanish-language clinic. I have experience working with learners of all language levels and would be happy to hear how I can support you!
