Hello, I'm an experienced STEM tutor with a strong background in chemistry, physics, and math. I have Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in chemical engineering as well as FE certification.

I am fundamentally motivated by our ability to learn and develop new knowledge. In my personal learning process, I have come to appreciate the value that teaching has for both solidifying my understanding of the world as well as the power that it can have to inspire others to develop new forms of thinking....

Hello, I'm an experienced STEM tutor with a strong background in chemistry, physics, and math. I have Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in chemical engineering as well as FE certification.

I am fundamentally motivated by our ability to learn and develop new knowledge. In my personal learning process, I have come to appreciate the value that teaching has for both solidifying my understanding of the world as well as the power that it can have to inspire others to develop new forms of thinking. I firmly believe that we are all unique individuals with specific abilities to process and interpret new information. I seek to develop these inherent analytical perspectives in all of my students.

The theories taught in STEM courses have real world implications that should feel tangible to students. This approach allows the material to become another tool that we can use to understand the world around us and not just meaningless formulas and equations. I have more than 10 years of proven tutoring experience through which this process has been improved and validated.

I cover topics such as:
Thermodynamics
HS/AP/General Chemistry
Inorganic/Organic Chemistry
AP Physics 1, 2, C
University Physics (algebra/calculus-based)
Statistics
SAT/ACT/GRE Math
Algebra 1 & 2
Geometry
Trigonometry
Precalculus
Calculus 1 (Calculus AB)
Calculus 2 (Calculus BC)
Linear Algebra
Multivariable Calculus (Calculus 3)

For each session, come ready with practice problems, homework questions, or specific topics you want to explore. Learning is active! We build understanding by engaging, not just by listening. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to your academic success and I look forward to working with you soon!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college Algebra 1. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to real-life situations. For example, using linear equations to budget a weekly paycheck or figure out when two friends traveling at different speeds will meet up. Doing so makes Algebra 1 feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college Algebra 2. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to real‑world patterns – like using exponential growth to understand how a viral video spreads or quadratic functions to model the arc of a basketball shot. Doing so makes Algebra 2 feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Calculus

Calculus

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college calculus. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relay how important the mathematics of change learned in calculus is to understanding our constantly evolving world.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college chemistry. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to natural phenomena students are familiar with such as relating gas laws to a bottle of water left in a hot car. Doing so makes chemistry feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Geometry

Geometry

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college geometry. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to the physical world around us. Such as using the Pythagorean theorem to find a shortcut across a park or calculating area to figure out how much paint a bedroom wall needs. Doing so makes geometry feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Physics

Physics

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college physics. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to everyday experiences. Such as using Newton's laws to explain why you lurch forward when a car stops suddenly or connecting conservation of energy to a roller coaster's hills and loops. Doing so makes physics feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college prealgebra. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to everyday choices. Such as using ratios to mix the perfect lemonade or percentages to calculate how much you'll save during a store sale. Doing so makes prealgebra feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college precalculus. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to natural cycles and movement. Such as using sine waves to track sunrise times across the year or parametric equations to describe the path of a thrown baseball. Doing so makes precalculus feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have many years of experience tutoring high school and college trigonometry. I adapt to each learner's needs, and I always try to relate key concepts to real situations. For example, using sine and cosine to find the proper angle to lean a ladder against a house or calculating the height of a flagpole by measuring its shadow and the sun's angle. Doing so makes trigonometry feel less abstract and much more intuitive.
