I graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Music Composition. As someone who has diverse interests that aren't in the same field, I understand the value of approaching difficult subjects from a different point of view. That's why my main goal in tutoring is to help my students foster understanding and build connections by bridging different areas together. I'll accomplish this by getting to know their likes and interests and incorporating that feedback into the lesson, and I'll make sure by the end of the lesson that they come away with a deeper and more personal understanding of the material with plenty of time to practice and reinforce that knowledge.

Throughout my educational career, I always found more joy when helping others with answering questions they had on their assignments than when doing them myself, whether it was in class, during study sessions, or just on the side. It first started in middle school, where I would always do the assigned math problems ahead of time which left me more than enough time to help others understand the material. In high school, I continued finishing my work ahead of time in my math and language classes and I started tutoring students in remedial Algebra I courses. These students were mainly self guided to finish their course for credit, but I was always ready to happily answer any questions they had about the material. In college, I started diversifying the subjects I helped my peers in, adding music and programming courses to my repertoire, as well as diversifying the settings where I helped my peers in, joining study groups and setting up individual sessions.

I believe having a personal view of a subject is key to learning it most effectively. Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions about my methods or to schedule a free consultation lesson!
