I have been passionate about tutoring since my undergraduate years, where I served as a learning assistant in the anatomy lab. This early experience solidified my love for teaching and breaking down complex topics into more digestible concepts. Throughout medical school at Rowan Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine, I remained actively involved in tutoring, including working with the Center for Student Success. These experiences allowed me to support fellow students by simplifying challenging medical concepts, refining test-taking strategies, and fostering a deeper understanding of key subjects.

Having taken both the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, as well as COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2, I understand the nuances of preparing for these rigorous exams. My own journey through these exams, combined with my experience tutoring students at various stages of their medical education, has helped me develop effective strategies to approach board-style questions. I emphasize active learning techniques, strategic question breakdown, and time management skills to ensure that students not only retain information but also apply it effectively under exam conditions.

Now, having matched into diagnostic radiology, I continue to value the importance of structured learning and efficient studying methods. My tutoring approach focuses on making learning manageable, whether it be through high-yield review sessions, test-taking strategies, or targeted content reinforcement. I enjoy working with students who are currently in medical school or those aspiring to enter the field, helping them navigate the challenges of medical education with confidence. My goal is to equip students with the skills and strategies needed to succeed, not just in exams but in their overall journey to becoming physicians.

USMLE

I passed USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt and achieved a 261 (80th percentile) on Step 2, demonstrating a strong grasp of test-taking strategies and high-yield medical knowledge. Throughout my studies, I developed a systematic and effective approach to answering USMLE-style questions, focusing on critical thinking, pattern recognition, and efficient time management. I believe that mastering these exams is not just about memorizing facts but about developing a strategic mindset that allows students to break down complex clinical scenarios with confidence. My goal as a tutor is to help students refine their approach to studying and test-taking, ensuring they maximize their performance while minimizing unnecessary stress. I am committed to providing guidance tailored to each student’s unique learning style, helping them build strong foundational knowledge, improve question interpretation skills, and ultimately achieve their academic and professional goals.
