Throughout my own education I’ve had the opportunity to immerse myself in the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards and expectations for students in all grades from 1st-6th. My knowledge of elementary mathematic concepts and models is vast. Throughout the years I have seen the confusion between “old math” and what is taught now and I feel that I have a great understanding of how to help students and families connect on these gaps.
