Hi! I am an undergraduate student at Drexel University in their 8-year BS/MD program(2.7 percent acceptance rate). I scored a 1580/1600(800 V, 780 M) on the SAT and a 1490/1520 on the PSAT/NMSQT, which made me a national merit scholarship semifinalist. I took a lot of APs( 5 on Physics C mechanics, 5 on calc BC, 4 on bio, 5 on psych, 5 on human geo). I also took AP Research and Seminar and earned a Capstone Diploma. I am happy to provide proof of these scores and awards upon request.

I have been an SAT tutor for high schoolers(16-18) and helped someone go from an 1190 to a 1380. I also tutored Calc BC and AP Physics C and helped students get 5s on the exam. I have been a tutor for about two years. I volunteered at an educational foundation where I taught English to Indian students pursuing government jobs (Rahman Education Foundation). I also briefly tutored precalculus to a sophomore at a magnate school. I usually prefer to tutor virtually, but I would tutor the kids at my school in the library. Sessions usually last about an hour, sometimes an hour and a half, if the student requests it.
I am always open to new teaching methods and trying out new things. I learned how to teach while teaching my autistic twin brother Algebra 1. He would struggle with simple concepts, so that forced me to teach everything slowly and make sure he understood the concept. I am not a huge fan of using a lecture-based learning style. Ironically, I learn best through a lecture-based class, but all my students prefer a more involved approach. I usually start a session by asking the students what they want to learn or what questions they have. Then I analyze their weaknesses and teach the pertaining concept, all the while making sure they understand not only how to do something but why to do it. I go through homework problems with them and sometimes assign them homework problems or SATs.
