With over 26 years of experience as a music educator, I have a deep passion for helping students find their unique musical voice. My teaching approach focuses on fostering creativity and building a strong foundation in musicianship, whether through guitar, composition, or improvisation. I believe in making music accessible and enjoyable for everyone, tailoring each lesson to meet the individual needs of my students. From beginner to advanced levels, I aim to inspire confidence and growth, guiding students through both technical skills and expressive performance. My background in jazz guitar and years of experience as a composer allow me to emphasize musicality, tone, and creativity in every lesson.

I have worked with a wide range of students, from young beginners learning their first chords to more advanced players seeking to refine their skills. My teaching philosophy centers around connecting with students through music that excites them, making learning both effective and enjoyable. I’ve taught guitar privately for many years, in both one-on-one and small group settings, and have had the opportunity to teach courses in music composition and performance at various institutions. Through personalized lessons, I focus on helping students develop confidence in their playing, while also encouraging them to explore different styles, from classical to contemporary.
