About Caroline

Bio

I have a doctorate in Art History and have taught in the university system for almost 15 years. I would love to help high school and college students struggling with the subject. My specialty is Early Modern Art History, but I am equipped to teach in most fields. My goal is always to instill a love for visual history in addition to simply answering whatever their needs are at any particular lesson. The curriculum is developed together. I generally have a good rapport with college-age students...

I generally have a good rapport with college-age students and love working with them.

Over years of living abroad, I created a way to teach English to children, adolescents, and adults. It went from a hobby to a mission, as learning English is the key to opening up a new world. I taught privately in middle school and high school. I was fortunate to have small groups or work one-on-one, as I think that's the most effective way to truly learn. Teaching is my passion, so I added teaching Hebrew privately, one-on-one, to my docket a few years ago. I am fluent in the language and enjoy bringing this fascinating language with its very different alphabet to interested students. Since 2020, I've moved all my lessons online and developed excellent tools for continuing my tutoring in this format.

Regarding ESL and Hebrew, after assessing a student's level, I create a course that is solely for that student, answering their needs and wishes in terms of language acquisition. I believe that homework is essential for those who study with me only once a week and usually give out an assignment based on what we are studying. I adore my students and find that they are usually very excited to attend the lesson and eager to learn. I would love to expand my roster.
