Hi! My name is Christian! I am a second year medical student. I have a BS in Biochemistry and a Master's in Biomedical Sciences. Even though my focus has been more on the sciences, the most enjoyable classes I have taken were with passionate and engaging professors. Hi! My name is Christian! I am a second year medical student. I have a BS in Biochemistry and a Master's in Biomedical Sciences. Even though my focus has been more on the sciences, the most enjoyable classes I have taken were with passionate and engaging professors. I try to bring this same energy whenever I am teaching someone to make the process fun and engaging.

I have previously tutored in Biology, Biochemistry and Chemistry for university students, English as a Second Language for adult learners, and given GED lessons in science and math for inmates. These ranged from one-on-one sessions to small groups of about ten students. I am also a Med Scholar at my school. As a Med Scholar, I tutor and provide help with topics including Gross Anatomy, Immunology, Microbiology, and Physiology. I scored in the 96th percentile on the MCAT and can help you get to your target score.

One teaching approach I've had success with is the Socratic Method. I ask very specific questions to assess exactly where a student stands and what piece of knowledge is preventing them from progressing. I then ask questions that help students put the pieces together to really help the information stick. Another approach that I've had success with is the usage of metaphors and comparisons.

There's many teaching methods out there, but simply getting to see through your perspective and the way you think, I can help you learn and work through any problem.

Typically, sessions can begin in a structured manner in which I introduce the topic, explain the material, give the student time to practice on their own, and finish by answering any questions the student may have. If students have suggestions on strategies or resources I can use to be a better help, I am more than happy to integrate those ideas into our sessions.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule sessions!

MCAT

I am a medical student with a 96th percentile MCAT score. I have tutored university students in Biology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry. I scored a 132 on the Psychology and Sociology section and would be happy to help with this section as well. By helping you identify your weaknesses, we can work together to get you the score you are aiming for.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I have a BS in Biochemistry, Master's in Biomedical Science, and current second year MD student with extensive knowledge in pharmacology. I was successful in completing the pharmacology component of my Master's degree and have continued to do well through my pre-clinical pharmacology requirements for medical school.
