I am a recent graduate of the University of Delaware and am preparing to attend Jefferson University in Philadelphia this upcoming summer. I succeeded on my MCAT, attaining a score of 520 (from a 503 diagnostic), based on an approach of continued, paced study, with an understanding studying isn't linear, and there will be ups and downs. I impart these same strategies when working with my students. I have been tutoring students for a little over a year, accruing over 100 tutoring hours in various capacities, working first as a volunteer and then as a paid tutor at a respected tutoring company.

The students I have taught range in age from 20 to 30 years of age, and all of my tutoring has been one-on-one thus far. I have helped the majority of the students I have served reach their goal score, and have seen significantly improved scores in each student I taught. I have successfully worked with students to prepare for their MCAT in timelines ranging from 2 months to 8 months, so I will be comfortable with your desired timeline. Our first session is a get-to-know-you, for both of us. These usually last for about an hour, and you are welcome to bring anyone from your support team onto the call. We establish a plan of action and give you a timeline for your MCAT and medical school application. From there, we jump into practice in our next sessions. I always start my students off with content review before moving into practice questions, as I have seen very positive results with previous students using that approach. I will be available for each step in this process, meeting as frequently, or infrequently as you want. You're in charge of what we cover, and I'm here in support, helping to explain and streamline thought processes and strategies.

I wish you the best of luck in your studies, even if you do not establish a connection with me, but I recommend asking a tutor if they have a consistent study plan before establishing with any tutor :)

I took the MCAT and went from getting a 503 on my diagnostic to a 520 on my final exam. I used a strategy that employed content review at the beginning and switched to consistent and diligent practice for the second half. I have helped a number of students achieve their goal score and look forward to helping you do the same
