I love teaching mathematics. I especially enjoy helping students gain confidence with topics in which they had previously struggled.

I have a B.A degree in mathematics from Drew University and an MBA from Temple University. In addition, I completed a graduate level course in Teaching PreCalculus to High School Students at Columbia University. Throughout my teaching career, I enrolled in various professional development classes on teaching mathematics in the middle school classroom.

I especially enjoy teaching Algebra and Geometry. I have taught these subjects for thirty years in classrooms that range from fifth through ninth grade. I begin each lesson with a fun introductory activity. Once students are engaged, I love exploring the topic in an in-depth and meaningful way that peaks their interest and demonstrates clear, real world applications.

In addition to teaching in the classroom, I held tutoring sessions after school for students requiring additional support. In these sessions, I was able to tailor my support to exactly what each student needed. Since March of this year, I have also been offering remote one-on-one tutoring services.

I pride myself on helping students as much as possible. To that end, during my years of classroom teaching I have developed a vast collection of fun math activities. I also work closely with students, as well as their teachers and parents to make sure that we are working on the exact skills and topics needed for success. My hours are flexible, and I look forward to helping you be a confident and enthusiastic math student.
