I have tutored students at the undergraduate level in Physics 1 and 2 who attended the University of Maryland and the University of Pennsylvania. I have also tutored adults studying to enter a new career at the University of Pennsylvania. I have experience in tutoring Biology, Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology, American History, ACT Math and Science, and Government and Politics at the undergraduate level which I have gained throughout my extensive science and history studies.
My academic career would not have been as successful without the instruction and guidance of several teachers and tutors that took an individualized approach to instruct me. They taught me to hone in on my strengths and weaknesses, creating a personal one-on-one environment that allowed me to succeed, which I plan to emulate as a tutor myself. I excel in teaching students helpful and unique ways to learn topics. This is to ensure that individuals fully grasp the concept in a way to not only memorize but understand the material, allowing them to apply it. I plan to instill an environment that promotes excitement for the topic, increasing the desire to learn.
