I have dabbled in some tutoring throughout my high school career, and am looking to return to helping out students on their academic journey. My performance in undergrad and my current Master's program have allowed me to diversify and hone my study skills, and I look forward to sharing the tips and tricks I've learned from other graduate students, medical students, and through my own experience.
The "teach-back" method that I still use to this day. It involves taking the information, synthesizing it, and teaching it to someone else. As a tutor, I serve to make the content more palatable through my experience and understanding, and the teach-back method can be used to solidify the student's understanding. I also will introduce the concept of "passes," which is used by many medical students and utilizes spaced repetition.
