I currently teach mathematics at a boarding school in Pennsylvania, working directly with middle and high school students in courses ranging from Algebra and Algebra 2 to Honors Calculus and advanced mathematics. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the challenges students face in today’s classrooms, from building a solid foundation in algebra to preparing for advanced coursework and standardized tests.
Before moving into secondary education, I taught university mathematics at Brandeis University, Michigan State University, and the University of Cincinnati. My courses have included Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, and other undergraduate mathematics courses. I have extensive experience working with students both in the classroom and one-on-one.
My teaching style is patient, flexible, and tailored to each student. I focus on helping students understand why a method works rather than simply memorizing formulas. At the same time, I emphasize effective problem-solving strategies, accuracy, and confidence. I can adapt my approach whether a student needs to strengthen foundational skills, improve a grade, prepare for an exam, or work through challenging advanced material.
