Hello to all the friends I haven't met yet! Graduating a semester early from Lehigh University with my bachelor's degree in English, I proceeded directly to graduate school, also at Lehigh, for an M.Ed. in Secondary Education with certification in English from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I taught in a traditional classroom setting in public schools for almost ten years, then took a short hiatus for a semester of vet tech school and for my husband and I to have our daughter, Aria, who is now 8 years old. Just before her second birthday I returned to teaching through tutoring English Language Learners online in one-to-one and one-to-many virtual settings. During the course of teaching ESL, I obtained a 120-hour TESOL certification from International Open Academy. I've been tutoring online for eight years now, and alongside tutoring, I also spent three years as a Professional Development Specialist, helping fellow teachers hone their virtual teaching skills. Most recently, I obtained my instructional add-on for grades PreK-4 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As a result of all of these experiences, I've taught all ages from babies to adults, and tailor my approach not just to the development stage of the student but also to their unique needs after spending some time learning who they are.
