Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!

My name is Noah, and I have a strong academic background in the life sciences, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Life Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedicine and Cell & Gene Therapy at Drexel University. Throughout my undergraduate education, I completed extensive coursework in biology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. In addition to my academic training, I have worked in regulated laboratory environments, including quality control microbiology and pharmaceutical laboratory settings, where attention to detail, scientific reasoning, and effective communication are essential.

I have approximately one year of tutoring experience assisting fellow students with science coursework during my time at Penn State. My tutoring approach is centered around the "I do, We do, You do" method, which allows students to first observe a concept being demonstrated, then work through examples collaboratively, and finally apply their knowledge independently. I believe that true learning occurs when students gain confidence in solving problems on their own rather than simply memorizing answers. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing critical thinking skills, and building a strong understanding of challenging scientific concepts. Whether you need help with introductory biology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related subjects, I am committed to helping you achieve your academic goals and become a more confident learner.

Approved Subjects

Biochemistry

Biochemistry

Unlike all of my other subjects I don't have industry experience in biochemistry. However, I have the most time and credits studying biochemistry for my undergrad degree as it was and still is my concentration. The MS I am studying also has lots of biochemistry involved as well so I am increasing the depth of my biochemistry knowledge currently as well.
Biology

Biology

I have taken quite some credits in Biology during my undergrad and pretty much every other subject except chemistry has to do with Biology. Which I found out when entering industry as well. Aside from my industry roles allowing me to learn more biology than just my undergrad, the MS program I am in is also deepening my knowledge on the subject currently.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have the most credits in my undergrad degree in chemistry and biochemistry. I have industry experience using chemistry testing techniques and machinery to make sure the manufacturing facilities I worked at were operating within spec. I am Currently attending Drexel for an MS in Biomedicine which also means I will be taking more chemistry courses at the master's level to increase the depth of my knowledge.
Genetics

Genetics

Although I did not complete a standalone undergraduate course titled "Genetics," genetics has been a central component of my biology education and graduate training. My bachelor's degree in Integrative Life Sciences included extensive genetics content throughout biology, microbiology, cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry courses. These subjects covered DNA replication, transcription, translation, gene expression, mutations, inheritance, and molecular genetics. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biomedicine and Cell & Gene Therapy, where understanding genetics is essential. The curriculum builds on molecular genetics and applies it to gene therapy, genome editing, viral vectors, and other modern genetic technologies. In addition, I have laboratory experience using PCR and other molecular biology techniques that rely on a strong understanding of genetics. I am confident in tutoring high school and introductory college genetics by helping students understand both the underlying concepts and their real-world applications.
Microbiology

Microbiology

I have taken the least amount of credits in microbiology during my undergrad but Have worked at two jobs as a Microbiologist after graduating. I know how to do cell cultures, run assays and how to use PCR as well as the theories behind them as that is an important part of troubleshooting OOS results. Aside from that I have done 2 courses with their corresponding labs during my undergrad.
