I am an Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology with over 20 years of experience as both a practicing clinician and educator. I hold a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) and am a Board-Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S), as well as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA). My professional background includes extensive clinical expertise in adult communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders, along with advanced training in medical speech-language pathology.

For the past decade, I have taught graduate-level courses in Neuroscience, Dysphagia, Motor Speech Disorders, and Anatomy at Salus University, where I mentor students through complex academic and clinical concepts. I use a multi-modal approach—combining lectures, interactive labs, patient simulations, and real-world clinical examples—to ensure that students truly understand the material. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of evidence-based practices rather than rote memorization.

I have worked with students of all levels, from undergraduates exploring communication sciences to graduate students preparing for clinical practice. My approach is personalized; I focus on identifying each learner’s strengths and challenges, providing clear explanations, structured guidance, and study strategies that build confidence and mastery of the material. Whether you need help preparing for coursework, clinical applications, or standardized exams (e.g., Praxis), I bring patience, enthusiasm, and deep expertise to help you succeed.
