I greatly enjoy tutoring math and physics because it gives me a sense of fulfillment to see students finally understand how to complete a problem after struggling for so long. Math and physics can initially be very difficult to comprehend, but with practice and clear instruction they can actually be fun and interesting. My approach is to stress critical thinking skills and not just memorization. It is important to know the list of steps necessary to solve a problem, but it is even more important to know why each step is needed and how one example problem can be used to understand many other problems. Math and physics are very useful in the real world, so having a grasp on these subjects can be very beneficial. I take great pride in helping students gain the mathematical and scientific knowledge necessary to be successful in whatever field
they choose to pursue.

I have accumulated over 10 years of tutoring and teaching experience in math and physics courses, and I have helped hundreds of students achieve their highest potential. I received a master’s degree in physics from Lehigh University in January 2018 and worked as a Teaching Assistant throughout the course of my graduate degree. My responsibilities included teaching physics labs and classroom recitations, creating quizzes, conducting exam review sessions, and holding office hours for students that had questions on the course material. I received a bachelor's degree in physics and minor in mathematics from Penn State University in January 2015 and previously acquired a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State. I started tutoring students in math and physics during my time between undergraduate and graduate school and then created a full-time private tutoring business after graduate school. I have experience tutoring in subjects including high school and college level calculus, trigonometry, geometry, algebra, SAT math prep, physics, engineering mechanics, and basic math skills.

Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I took differential equations during my engineering curriculum and did well in the course. While pursuing my physics degree I took an advanced calculus course with a differential equation component, which allowed me to master the subject. Also, the majority of my upper level physics courses used differential equations to solve problems.
Linear Algebra

Knowledgeable and well prepared

Chris met with my college sophomore son to review differential equations. My son was very pleased with Chris, who came well prepared and made great use of their time. My son looks forward to meeting with Chris regularly and having this challenging advanced math class get easier!

Great tutor

I have met with Chris for 3 tutoring session for math, I know nothing, I am 58 years old, do not know how I made it through school but I have about zero math knowledge. I am a Culinary Arts Student and need to know how to do basic type algebra for my program. I have to pass this math part of my program, our instructor said "we lose more students when it comes to the math part of the program, if you don't know math, get a tutor! and now I have met Chris, I actually did one math problem by myself! This is headline news!!!!!
