I have a strong background in physics and applied mathematics, supported by a Master’s degree in nuclear engineering and over ten years of experience working in highly technical environments. My education and professional career required a deep understanding of physics principles, mathematical modeling, and structured problem-solving, which allows me to explain challenging material in a clear, logical, and approachable way. I tutor both high school and college-level students in Physics, Calculus, Precalculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics.
While I am newer to formal tutoring platforms, teaching and academic instruction have been a meaningful part of my professional experience. During my time in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear training pipeline, I was responsible for training and mentoring junior sailors in nuclear power plant fundamentals and operations, delivering technical instruction in an academic, one-on-one and small-group setting. In later professional roles, I regularly trained coworkers and peers by breaking down complex concepts, guiding problem-solving approaches, and ensuring a solid understanding of underlying principles. This experience has shaped a tutoring style that is structured, patient, and focused on clarity rather than rote memorization.
I work with both high school students in advanced coursework and college students pursuing STEM degrees. I am comfortable supporting students with exam preparation as well as longer-term concept building. Physics is a particular strength and favorite subject of mine to teach, and I enjoy helping students connect mathematical tools to physical intuition. My sessions are typically one-on-one and problem-focused, with an emphasis on creating a calm, low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop independent problem-solving skills, and gain a clearer understanding of challenging technical subjects.
