Hello! My name is Miti and I am a bioengineer with a BS in BioE/Biomechanics from Northeastern University. I have over five years of experience tutoring in math/science, in topics such as calculus including multivariable, fluid mechanics, biology, immunology, etc. Most recently I have been working to help develop a microfluidics platform for performing miniaturized gene editing across various cell types. Right now, I am working to apply to PhD programs in mechanical engineering in the topics of microfluidics, biofluids, and biomaterials research.

Previously, I have tutored students of ages ranging from 5th grade up to college aged. Usually, I prefer if students send me problems or topics they are struggling with the day before so I can prepare after lesson plan for the tutoring session, or we can work through problem sets together as well. I am also happy to follow any other methods that work well with a student, but I find that practicing problems, particularly in math subjects, has been the most beneficial to students (and me!). All of my teaching experience is tutoring, through after school tutoring, one-on-one high school tutoring, Kumon tutoring, TA-ing university classes, and one-on-one university tutoring throughout my education.

Outside of work, I love to travel, paint, cook, and spend far too much time on TikTok. I’ve spent many years doing watercolors, and also have lots of experience in calligraphy, lettering, and sketching.
