Hi, I'm Sajid, and I have a passion for helping students succeed in math, chemistry, and physics. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a 3.6 GPA and scored a perfect 800 on the SAT Math, Chemistry, and Physics Subject Tests. Along with my academic background, I have over 4 years of professional engineering experience, giving me a strong understanding of how STEM concepts are applied in the real world.

For over 6 years, I've tutored students of all ages, from high school and college students to adult learners, in both one-on-one and classroom settings. During college, I worked as a tutor for the Center for Academic Excellence, where I taught undergraduate chemistry and math students, helping them master topics such as stoichiometry, thermochemistry, equilibrium, acid-base chemistry, algebra, and problem-solving techniques. I also spent several years tutoring high school students in my community, helping them strengthen their understanding of math and science while improving their grades and preparing for exams.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can succeed with the right approach. I believe most students don't struggle because the material is too difficult; instead, they struggle because they haven't been shown a clear, step-by-step way to solve problems. I focus on building strong fundamentals, breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces, and helping students understand the "why" behind each step instead of simply memorizing formulas. Throughout each lesson, I regularly check for understanding and adjust my teaching style to fit each student's pace and learning preferences.

My goal is not only to improve your grades but also to build your confidence and help you become an independent problem solver. I tailor every lesson to your individual needs, and I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and have four years of professional experience applying core principles like mass and energy balances, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to real industrial processes. This gives me a practical, applied perspective that goes beyond textbook problems, since I can show students how these concepts translate to actual plant operations and design decisions. I also have experience tutoring undergraduate math, chemistry, and physics students, so I'm comfortable breaking down complex, multi-step problems into clear, manageable pieces. My approach focuses on building strong conceptual fundamentals first, so students can confidently tackle unfamiliar problems rather than just memorizing formulas.

Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I can help students develop compelling college personal statements by guiding them through brainstorming, organization, storytelling, and revision. My approach focuses on helping students identify their unique experiences, strengths, and goals and turn them into authentic essays that clearly communicate who they are. I can provide feedback on structure, clarity, grammar, word choice, and overall flow while ensuring the student’s own voice remains central to the essay. I am comfortable working with students of different ages and writing abilities and can provide step-by-step support throughout the writing and revision process.
