I have have been in the teaching field since 2012. Before teaching in my current district, Newport, I worked as a 4th grade teacher in the Cumberland Valley School District, a 2nd grade teacher at the Milton Hershey School and an Elementary Science teacher at the Milton Hershey School. As well as a myriad of districts day-to-day subbing.
One of my favorite things to do is travel. During college I studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia. I have traveled to many states on the east coast from Maine to Georgia and everywhere in between. I have been out to the Midwest to stand beneath the arch of St. Louis, as well as frolicking on the white sand beaches of Hawaii.

I have taught with multiple elementary math programs (enVisions, Everyday Math, Big Ideas, Math Expressions). I was also on the math committee helping to write my school's plan for math implementation K-5.
I have a general science minor, a passion for discovery, as well as being the exclusive science teacher for approximately 4 months during a long term sub position. I have also taught science in the classroom for the majority of my tenure.
I have been teaching reading to a multitude of levels of readers during my tenure. I have worked with several elementary math programs and am familiar with many online supplemental programs like RAZ-kids, Reading Eggs, and ABC Mouse.
