I have 4 years of tutoring experience at both the high school and college level. I have tutored high school students in high level math courses as well as English/writing classes. In college, I tutored the following courses: Biochemistry, Microbiology, General Biology, Organic Chemistry, & Cell Biology. I mainly work one-on-one with students but also have experience helping small groups.
Over the years, I have enjoyed personalizing my approach for each student I work with, using resources that align with my students' specific learning styles. For example, I have used chemistry model kits for hands-on learners and created flow charts and tables to connect key concepts for more visual learners. I'm also eager to share advice for pre-med students, whether they are struggling with coursework, balancing responsibilities, getting clinical experience, etc.
Through Wyzant, I am interested in tutoring all of these subjects as well as any other science or math course at the high school or college level. Further, I am interested in tutoring students preparing for the MCAT. I took the MCAT in 2025 and scored a 522 (99th percentile), and am eager to help students achieve their goals of attending medical school.
My main priority is helping my students succeed, therefore I am always open to suggestions, resources, or different teaching approaches from students or parents. Feel free to contact me with any further questions and/or to schedule a lesson!
