Enthusiastic French Tutor

I am a retired high school French teacher with over 30 years of experience. My students learned French via the immersion method which proved very successful. From the first day of French 1 until the last day of French 4, students only heard French spoken in the classroom. In fact, many of them thought I could not speak English! My students also enjoyed many high school organized trips to France where they were able to practice what they had learned in class. What a joy it was for me to hear them using their skills in a real life setting. Even more impressive, was to hear the native French continue the communication in French rather than switch to English.

My passion for the French language and culture continues as I attend conferences and workshops several times each year. It is important as an educator to continue learning new methods for teaching. Tutoring students in a one-on-one setting would be an ideal situation. I look forward to working with students of all ages and levels, just as I have done for my entire active career. Teaching is a pleasure and more importantly, teaching French is pure delight.
