Hi, I'm Leo! I’m an Honors Industrial Engineering student with a minor in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. Through my studies, I’ve completed advanced coursework in mathematics, including Calculus I–III, Linear Algebra, and Probability & Statistics—as well as all the foundational middle and high school math courses that come before them.
While I’m new to formal tutoring, I’ve regularly helped peers and classmates one-on-one, especially in math and other quantitative subjects. I know how challenging math can be, especially when concepts build on each other, and my goal is to help students stay confident and avoid falling behind.
My tutoring approach focuses on three core principles: plenty of practice to build understanding and confidence; breaking down complex ideas using relatable examples; and adapting to each student’s individual learning style. Everyone learns math differently, and I aim to tailor each session to best fit your needs. That said, one thing I’ve found universally helpful is practice. Concepts are much easier to grasp after you’ve used them in real examples, so my sessions emphasize working through problems together to reinforce understanding.
I’m most comfortable tutoring middle school and high school students in subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Precalculus, and SAT Math preparation. Whether you’re looking for long-term support or a session before a big test, I’d love to help. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session—I’m excited to work with you!
