Ave Maria University
I am a recent graduate from Ave Maria University, a small Catholic collage in south west Florida. I graduated with a B.A. in history. Upon graduating I decided to begin my career in education at the high school I used to attend, St. Gregory's Academy in Elmhurst PA. I was hired as an American History teacher and currently teach there. It was through my experience at both Ave Maria and St. Gregory's Academy, that I came up with my philosophy of history.

The lecture provides the student with historical facts. The Socratic method enables the student, through the teacher asking the proper questions, to engage his reason and understand not only that certain events occurred in history, but why these events occurred in history. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
